I was very excited to finally try out this Mantis x10 Elite device in an archery setting and was impressed right from the start. This will help quickly identify which shots were off target so that you can recall that visual data and attempt to identify problems based on inconsistencies between those and on target shots. With the Shot Placement feature, you can track the point of impact on each shot. As mentioned before, if the device is not mounted level and plumb with the riser of the bow, this feature, in particular, will not be accurate. This feature is handy to identify an issue where you are not holding the bow in a vertical position. Pitch/Cantīy tapping the Pitch/Cant tab at the top of the app you can take a look at the left or right lean of every shot. This will show you an overlay of the data from all shots so that you can check for consistency and repetition for that particular step, a fundamental of great archery. Once a string of shots has been fired, you can look at the individual steps of the shot by tapping the corresponding box in the app. Other Features Of The Mantis Archery App Shot History Overlay red x = position when the arrow leaves the bow.The color for the visual representation is as follows: This visual data is represented by a line that changes color for each step through that shot. The Mantis Archery app gives some great shot data in an easy to understand visual format. Once connected you can navigate the app to the settings, input your bow specifications and set up the orientation of the device. The app will give prompts through this setup.

Once the device is mounted, it is time to download the Mantis Archery app, start the app and connect the x10 Elite device to said app. The device can be oriented in any direction but for a proper readout, it should be both level and plumb in relation to the riser of the bow. So, I simply removed that and installed the device. In my case, I already had a picatinny rail that I used for a laser/light combo.
MountingĪs mentioned earlier, to mount the x10 Elite device to your bow requires that you have a picatinny rail to attach the device to. It is a pretty quick and painless process to get started using the Mantis x10 Elite that requires you properly mount the device to your bow, followed by installing, connecting and configuring the Mantis Archery app. Getting Started With The Mantis x10 Elite This could be damaging to the bow in the very least and even lead to injury of the archer or bystanders in the immediate area.
